Houston will be filled with Juneteenth celebrations, according to Eventbrite. The most notable is the inaugural BLCK Market Expo curated for the Black American experience. It will also serve as a safe space for Black entrepreneurs. 

There will be food festivals, art exhibits, and other pop-up shops entering the city all weekend long.

Rain or shine, the entire University community is invited to our third annual Juneteenth Freedom Day Celebration. Lawn chairs and mats are welcome as we gather at the Earlene and Albert Dotson Pavilion Lawn (MARC building at MMC). This free event is open to the entire community and will feature musical performances, local artisan vendors, activities, dancers, food trucks, raffles, and fun for the whole family. Juneteenth is the oldest, nationally celebrated commemoration of the ending of slavery in the United States of America. Two and a half years after the 16th President of the United States, Abraham Lincoln delivered the Emancipation Proclamation, where Black people were considered free and delivered from enslavement.Our annual Juneteenth Family Fun Day Festival gathers 20,000+ attendees local to the NYC community to enjoy a vibrant day of rich culture through music, dance, poetry, skits, history, vendors, and family activities for single-family homes, married with children, and extended family.

Atlanta, Georgia

Atlanta’s Juneteenth Celebration is an all-weekend event and music festival starting on June 18.
 
There will be a parade starting at noon at the intersection of Auburn Avenue and Jackson Street. It will travel down Auburn Avenue to Centennial Olympic Park. 

This year’s parade theme is True Identity = True Freedom Free The Land. 

There will also be yoga sessions, genealogy research, fireworks, and more, according to the event website.
